TiJa Mitchell Sr. is the founder and CEO of A Fresh Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth to build a better future. Born in Indianapolis and raised in Arlington, Texas, TiJa's early life was marred by involvement in gangs and drugs, leading to a ten-year probation and a four-year prison sentence. During his incarceration, he earned his GED and automotive certification, which became a foundation for his transformation. After a life-threatening incident upon his release, TiJa moved back to Indiana, reconnected with his faith, and rebuilt his life. Overcoming the challenges of being an ex-felon, he earned degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. TiJa's dedication to hard work and integrity allowed him to advance rapidly in the healthcare industry. Driven by a desire to give back, he established A Fresh Foundation, which benefits from sponsors like Chick-fil-A and Starbucks, to support and inspire at-risk youth. TiJa is a devoted husband to his wife, Larina, and a proud father of five children, all of whom support his mission to uplift future generations.
